Course maintenance schedule

As the Vardon continues to make upgrades and improvements on and off the course we want our membership to be informed of the dates our Greens and Grounds crew will have scheduled maintenance.

Wednesday will stay our regular scheduled maintenance day and the course will be closed until 11 am. On Monday Tournaments there will be limited EARLY morning play prior to the tournament tee times.

Wednesdays will now be open for play beginning at 11:00 am in season up to the beginning of ladies league at 2:00 pm.

Tuesday - Opposite Wednesday of top Dressing Verticut - Cut - Roll - Pins Changed

Sand traps groomed

Every wednesday - (Spray Every other) - Cut - roll - Pins changed sand traps groomed

Every other Wednesday - Top Dress GReens - opposite of Verticut

2024 Large Course Maintance Aeration Dates - Weather Permitting

2nd - 3rd Week of March - Course Start Up Maintenance

1st Week of April - Top Dress Greens

2nd Tuesday of April - Target Open

April 17th -18th Aeration Dates - Weather Permitting

Slit Cut Greens - Monthly

1st Week in September - Greens and Tees Aerate

3rd week in September - Fall maintenance plan to continue

3rd Week of October - Irrigation system will begin to be winterized

Final day of golf for the 2024 season TBD ??

October - Close of course - Fall walkthrough for 2025 tree planting placements, fairways aerated, tees and fairways sanded/seeded, greens covered.
