Since 1983, the course has hosted the Western ND Charity Pro-Am, one of the premier events on the Dakotas Tour. This event showcases some of the best local amateur talent, along with the best the Dakotas Tour has to offer.

This tournament has given back over 2.5 million dollars to local ND charities over its tenure and continues that tradition each and every year.

From 2020 - 2023 the tournament has raised over $ 200,000 for our local Minot and Ward County Charities.

A few of our past champions have gone on to have successful European PGA, Champions Tour and PGA Tour careers. Two of the most notable past champions went on to have hugely successful PGA Tour careers as well as major championships. Tom Lehman (1982 Pro Am Champ and Steve Jones 1983 Pro Am Champ) Lehman won the 1996 Open Championship along with two Champions Tour Majors, and Jones won the 1996 US Open

We are excited to start a new tradition at the 2021 Western ND Charity Pro Am by adding live entertainment at no cost to our players, members or guest on each Pro Am Saturday night beginning at 7 pm located in our new event space located below the 18th green and clubhouse.

We are proud to announce that Pro Am scoreboard has been resurrected from years past and will have new permanent home located at the bottom of the hill just outside the Pro Shop. A list of all past Pro Champions will be placed on the back side for all to see coming off of 18 green.
